I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
One, of a NUMBER, of features/facilities/functions, that is MISSING ...
This matter has ALREADY been raised/reported/discussed recently ...
Here, take look at this 'Post' ...
Which may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective ...
FamilySearch Help
'Category' = Temple
HOME > FAMILYSEARCH HELP > TEMPLE
I work in a temple office and I frequently use the "help others" feature and miss it on the new home page
Just my thoughts.
I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I just wanted you to be aware.

Thanks Brett. You are always a breath of fresh air.

Perhaps instead of calling it "New Features", they could write it is an introduction of new bugs. (Being facetious).

😀
Of course, I do not think, that some the, "Administrators"; or, "Moderators", would agree, with the last ...

@RobertLeighPritchett thanks for your post and for testing out the new person page.
I work for familysearch, particularly helping with the new person page.
The "Help Others" feature is used from the person page more than any other location. It is definitely already on the list of features to be built in the new style. It should be there before we release to the real site.
Please continue to submit feedback and post your opinions on the new person page. We are listening. This page is the most used and has the most features. We want to make sure we get it right before it's released.

Please add the option in the "Help Others" section on the New Person Page of using the patron's name and birthdate instead of only the username. Both are available on the old version. Often the patrons do not remember their user name. It is an extremely valuable tool.

For reference >
And the "option" for using the new page (beta version not labeled as such) disappears in a couple of more months (this is November 2022) as the system takes out the old and replaces it with the new in 2023. If the help others function is not there, my calling and mission are essentially terminated, since I will not be able to "Magnify" them.

We've been told multiple times that the Help Others function will be there as stated in Lyle's May 26 post above.

What is keeping it from being added already? I can't use the new, because it is only in the old. I cannot beta test what is not there.

? I am having a hard time understanding ... Why do I see the Help Others available in Tree and New Person Page and you do not??
Tree view:
New Person Page:
I am using Windows 11 Chrome browser (updated). It must have something to do with your account login? If you are logged in and not seeing the option perhaps contact FamilySearch support to check your account login for any issues?

genthusiast,
Which computer platform are you using?

I see. The Family Tree tab reverts back to the old screen.

@RobertLeighPritchett You should see the old icon on the Tree view and the new icon on the Person Page view...? bear with me as I post images above...

I think there are two places the Help Others button/option could go in the new page. One might be the drop down list under the account name (optimal location) and the other could be the "To Do" list.

Yes, you are correct the Help Others link is not on the New homepage view currently. You can access it as mentioned above on the New Person Pages and the Tree view also still has the old icon...

With the New Page button turned on, I went to my profile page and then clicked on my profile page and it shows up - with only one option; I have to know another person's information to proceed further. Perhaps this is what they are having issues with. It should open up like the "old" Helper page with the screen where I can scroll own and click the "Try the Planner" link where all those I am working with appear in a menu.

genthusiast,
Thank you! I see progress. That is a good thing.

You can also still access the Helper Resources/Planner page:
Click on the ?> then Helper Resources link
or
https://www.familysearch.org/help/helper/
Note: this particular link is only in a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints account. For a public account it appears as Helpful Resources> Family History Dashboard.

There is no button here for beyond awesome, but genthusiast, you definitely are!
Way cool!

You just made the "new page" more valuable to me.

Well ... I'm just a FamilySearch Community member ... glad pointing out a few links makes the pages more valuable to you. 👍️

You turned on the right keys to knowledge about how to navigate "correctly" around the new page and exposing hidden gems. In a roundabout way, this thread can essentially be considered "resolved".
