You can do ordinances on the day they expire, but not the following day.

Yes, if the ordinance has expired from your Reservations and is now shared with the Temple, you no longer hold the ordinance and should destroy the card. If you chose to reserve the ordinance from the shared temple list and it is back in your Reservations, you could continue to use the previously printed card to complete the work.

I have two reservations shared with Temple that someone reserved in April 2024. Both expired yesterday, August 9th. Today, they are still showing as Reserved by the same individuals. When will these ordinances be unreserved from these individuals so I may get the work done?

sugardew Try 'requesting' the ordinances from the person who currently holds them. In Family Search, when you go to the person's name, click on the temple icon on the right side of the box and there should be a 'request' button on the bottom of the record. If that doesn't work or the button isn't clickable, please contact Online Genealogy Help. Or Genealogy Research Help.
