    That is such a great question! I should have asked it earlier. I'll check to see if the inner scroll shows up on my computer screen (MacBook Pro).

    I see initially a message in my family group showing the latest comments with no inner scroll bar. When I click on the "Load More" up above, it reverts back to the top of the thread and I cannot scroll down.

    I get out of messages and then back in, click on the family group thread and I see the end dialogue and "Load More" at the top. Repeatable scenario. (wash, rinse, repeat).

    So "fixed", not completely.

    This issue still has yet to be fully fixed

    @CJTobler

    I do note that I actually do see a scroll bar now - but it is so razor thin - that its almost not visually noticeable.

    there are various threads on the scrolling issue - it was supossedly even reported to engineers - why does it take so long to fix this very annoying bug

    the arrows above point to the top and bottom of a sliver thin INNER scroll bar

    Which computer platform are you using to see the "Miss Twiggy" scroll bar?

    I'm using a MacBook Pro too. When the messages pane is full, the only way I can scroll down is to open the developer tools, then click and hold in the messages pane and drag the contents upward. If I try this without the developer tools it just selects text in the messages. There was a similar thing on another website where the page contents were blank because an event wasn't firing but it did if the inspector was open. I'm racking my brains to remember which it was so I can look for the solution mentioned on stackoverflow.

    Just discovered that clicking and holding to select text, then moving the cursor downward off the bottom causes the viewport to track downward and reveal the missing messages.

    Not ideal, but a workaround.

    So on the MacBook Pro, to make this work, you go to System Preferences > Trackpad > Point and Click > Unflag "Tap to Click". Now go to a long message in Messages and leave your finger still on the dialogue window (via the touchpad) for a little bit and then while holding it, inch down to the bottom of the dialogue box and then it will continue down to the hidden text. It takes a bit of getting use to, but yeah, it works - for now. Thank you!

    @RobertLeighPritchett You could do as you say .. or you could plug in a trackball mouse and use that to select and extend down.

    Or they could just fix the code and put it back the way it was. Should I charge FamilySearch for a trackball mouse, just so I can use this program "correctly"? Next, they will say the standard "clear the cache on your browser" as the pat answer for "fixing" everything. No, I am not going to let the coders off the hook that easily. Fix the code please.
