Generic persons
A contributor continually adds incorrect generic records at the end of a line.
For example, Ignacia Garcia, LYJP-QXX shows father, GS6S-P5 with the name XY XY and the mother GSY2-R7M with the name XX XX.
There is no other info for these records - no dates, places, proper names. When you look at the tree, the grandparents are listed with the same names XY XY and XX XX.
These 2 records GS6S-P5 and GSY2-R7M are listed with 100 possible duplicates. However, the possible duplicates should not be merged as they are associated with different people that have different descendants.
Can these generic names be removed from showing in Family Tree as the delete person is unavailable.

I have a few lines where I've created a mostly-generic parent in order to connect a known sibling, but I used a father with just a surname and no wife. (Yes, there's a chance that the siblings shared their mother's surname, but it's unlikely, and besides, one can change the sex of profiles.) I cannot see the utility of "XX XY" and especially "XX XX". I especially do not see the point when there aren't even any siblings connected using the generic parents.
You can disconnect these useless parents from Ignacia by going to her profile's Details page and clicking the little pencil-and-box icon to the right of her name in the "Parents and Siblings" column of the Family Members section. In the third box of the resulting flyout, click "- Remove or Replace", click the "I have reviewed..." box, click Remove Parents, write a reason, and click Remove.
This will leave the generic/useless profiles "floating" in the Tree, unconnected to anyone. If this bugs you, you can randomly choose one of the hundreds of possible duplicates and merge them in (summarizing the "story" in the reason box); this will make it more difficult for another user to re-attach those same profiles to Ignacia, but of course it will not prevent said other user from creating new generic/useless parents for her. But you can cross that bridge if you ever get to it.

That's nothing to the mess created when FamilySearch found a need to create (perhaps millions of) IDs called "X" for unknown mothers / spouses. I was told it's best to merge them if they can be identified as representing the same individual, in case detaching them (and leaving them floating) affected ordinances. With respect, surely nobody takes a person called X to the Temple, so after making sure they have no sources attached, I detach them and just leave them floating.
