Can you search any sort of records using LDS membership record numbers?

I am looking to find a deceased man in Thailand for a friend of mine who served his mission and taught this man. I am curious if there is any sort of record or feature on family search that I can use to search using the man's LDS membership record number since that is one of the only bits of information we have about him.

@Knight, Dalton Morgan , FamilySearch would not be able to help you.

What you may want to do is contact the Membership Department of the Church. Since the man is deceased, they may be able to point you to his FamilySearch PID. His membership record tied to his membership number should have enough information to find his profile on FS. Whether they could help because of confidentially issues may be a problem. Worth a try, you have to start somewhere.

Also can your friend pinpoint the dates or places or Ward the deceased may have been a member? If so he could contact that Ward/Branch leadership directly and maybe a member there would have knowledge of the deceased.
