How do I fix these oddities that are on my screen?
I have been doing indexing for a long time, and just this week ran into a problem I cannot fix. Out of the blue, the font on the left side of the screen, where information is to be entered, got really big and I cannot make it go back to normal size. In addition, a big black bar appeared across the bottom of the screen, blocking about a third of the space there. I cannot make this go away. It doesn't help to try a different batch. It makes it very uncomfortable, if not impossible, to do any indexing under these circumstances. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Whenever Web Indexing does weird things like that, you might need to clear your browser's history. If you're using Chrome, click on CHROME on the menu bar at the top left corner of your screen; click on CLEAR BROWSING DATA; I click on the ADVANCED tab, then the CLEAR DATA button. Try that and see if it helps. It might also be a hiccup in the FS system--Sundays seem to have more of them.

The cache is what works wonders for me, instead of clearing everything. Clearing everything means everything, including deleting cookies. Deleting cookies will sign you out of everything. Clearing cookies really isn't the way I recommend, unless you enjoy trying to remember passwords or what street did your grandma's pet grew up on.
chrome://settings/clearBrowserData?search=cache
In Basic or Advanced, make sure only Cached images and files box is ticked. Click clear browsing data, close out Chrome and restart the computer.

Clearing your browser is not what I would recommend, especially if you are playing games like Wordle or Quordle - you will lose all of your stats.
I would reset my familysearch cookies first and see if that works. Here's the link:

Family Search works just fine on my Win7 computer. But when I open the website up on my Win11 machine all the text, everything is blown way BIG! I can't figure out or see any control on how to shrink it down to Normal size? Every other website seems fine but this one??

Nevermind! I found it at the top of the screen. Just this page seemed to set set at ZOOM 500% ??
all is good now.
