Non-Existent Spouse
I have an unfinished attachment was is all correct except for one thing. I have a death record for a daughter who died as an infant. Her father's surname was Burne. Unfortunately, the digitized record shows this daughter having a spouse surnamed Burne with no given name. I don't know how to detach this non-existent spouse so the record will stop reading "unfinished attachment." The data shows no spouse until you get into trying to finish the attachment. What am I to do?

I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
Just in passing ...
Just thinking out aloud ...
IF, the "Death" record, "Source", of the Daughter, DOES NOT, have a Parent (ie. Mother; or, Father) listed; but, indicates a "Spouse", that you can confirm is INCORRECT (as, she Died; as, an "Infant"; and, was NEVER "Married"); THEN, perhaps, that "Reference", in/on the "Source", is NOT actually, a Spouse; but, in fact, was supposed to represent, her Father.
Thus ...
IF, such is the case; THEN, it may be prudent, to attached the "Source", with reference of Spouse, to her Father, with "Notes", on the "Source"; as, to WHY, you have attached it that way.
Otherwise ...
Just "DISMISS", the "Unfinished Attachment", on the "Source", for the Daughter.
Such should NOT reappear; as, a "Record Hint"; as, there is NOT Spouse associated.
Just my thoughts.
Good Luck.
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.
