I am not seeing that this is in German. The petitioner is German but this is a Document of Intent to be naturalized and should be indexed.

If I am misunderstanding your question please let me know! Thanks!

Follow the guidelines in the FAQ below. If there are multiple fields you can't read, Return the Batch so another indexer can try.

You can also post in Community, perhaps in one of the German groups, and ask for help reading it. Someone familiar with this style of handwriting will probably be able to read it.

Someone familiar with the handwriting and also the ability to see Wisconsin projects. I can fully understand not allowing everyone to index the more current files of Wisconsin, and those with personal health information, but denying the general population the ability to index Nats? Now that seems a little odd...

Hi @Melissa S Himes the standard answer is roughly "terms of the contract between FS and Wisconsin" or some such other . . ., and you're right, I could see no reason especially since the indexed record will be published online for anyone to read. 😎

For @Harmon, James Bartlett I took a look at MSSH-29B - image 1 - the handwriting is extremely difficult to read but I'm guessing Given Name is Zorbub and Surname is Siesml --the other choice is to return the batch for someone else to try or go ahead and index the remaining images then submit for the reviewer to try.

We do not actually know all records that are indexed are published. Some are digitized and indexed for the owners of the document's use and for archiving so they are safe for future use.
