Just opened this index, it appears to be in French dated 1700s. Not fluent in French, so is there any point in opening another record in this index?

    Hi Robin.

I came across the same problem about a week ago. It appears that there was a large influx of Huguenots during the time of these records, and as they were not of the C of E persuasion, they were classed as non-conformists and seemingly, kept their own church records.

I have checked each day to see whether there is any end in sight, but so far, they are all in French.

Wish there was better news to offer.

    Kind regards,

    Barry
