when recovering account I've not received verification code even though prompt says within 10min

Thinking out aloud ...
(1) Have you checked your "Junk"/"Spam" Folder?
(2) Has the "E-mail" Address, on your 'FamilySearch' Account, been "Changed" previously?
(3) Have you checked, your "Settings", in your 'FamilySearch' Account, to ensure the current "Email" Address?
And, the process may take a little longer, than the estimated x10 Minutes.
Just my thoughts.
