What is this record?

I went to review this record - UK, England, Lancashire—Nonconformist Church Records, 1647–1996 [Part B][MSG4-1RQ], which had been indexed as a Death or Burial. At first, it seemed to be straightforward , but names 4 and 7, Nancy Whitwam and Mary Ann Dyson both have 'her mark' written on the record, making it somewhat unlikely that they were confirming their own burial. There are several other X's on the record and also on neighbouring ones, so I am confused as to what these records are, and if and how they should be indexed.

    I would guess Member rolls that don't get indexed. Notice the one for Thomas Pagoon dis to Sq Hill - probably a dismissal to another church. Maybe the reference images will provide further clues, but, this "Image Group" is not available, at least not to me. Good luck!

    @Melissa S Himes

    Thanks Melissa.

    I couldn't just send of off as it was, and I did wonder about it being a member roll as one of the reference records had a brief note of some deaths, added at the end of that particular year.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Kind regards,

    Barry
