When Will Rhode Island and New Hampshire be available for review?

It's almost a month into the project and Rhode Island and New Hampshire are still grayed out. I noticed Vermont was always grayed out but is the first state available for search. Any explanation for this?

We do not have an exact date regarding when those will be available for review - they will be made searchable first and then we will turn them on for review as soon as we can process them.

Thank you for your reply. This morning, I noticed that 2 other previously unavailable states (Delaware and Wyoming) are now available to search. It looks like 6 states (Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Delaware, Wyoming and South Dakota) are not following the same review process as the remaining 42. It would be nice to understand why.

@Eric Dubois, as Janell stated above, the states are made searchable first, which is what the announcement was about, and then as soon as they are processed to be able to review, then they will turn them on for review. I am not really understanding what you are referring to as they are not following the same review process as the remaining 42. I'm sure there are certain reasons that things are done as they are. I guess we just need to be patient in the process that has been designed to prepare for reviewing.

It is a mammoth project for engineers. So sorry that it is frustrating. Please hang in there with the rest of us. Thank you for your comment.

If I go to https://www.familysearch.org/1950census/ only 3 states are "available to search" (Vermont, Delaware, Wyoming). This only happened in the past few days and all states were unavailable until now.

If I go to https://www.familysearch.org/getinvolved/1950 6 states are grayed out as "Not available yet". The 3 mentioned above as well as New Hampshire, Rhode Island and South Dakota.

As the month went on, states slowly became available for name review, header review and family review, except for those 6 states, and 3 of those later appeared in the "available to search" option. This leads me to believe those 6 states are not handles the same way as the others.

I understand it's a mammoth project and this is not criticism. Just curiosity.

I see what you are referring to. in the URL for get involved/1950, that is only referring to the ones that are not yet prepared for reviewing. But your first URL should show more states I would think. Could you please do Feedback on this page where it shows the states that are searchable? Feedback is on the left side of the page. https://www.familysearch.org/1950census/

It is interesting for sure. I know it isn't criticism from you. Deep thinkers are good. Thank you.
