What to do when someone changes your grandmother to someone else?

Someone has added a new wife for my grandfather that's not correct and linked a whole new set of children to my grandfather. His name is Julian Laurie Pierce (93BL-2F1) and the new person linked as his wife is Ruby Katencamp Pierce (GHTQ-5JB). The correct wife is my grandmother, Ruby Willa Stewart (LDZ2-N4X). I have written to the person who made the change but no response. I looked at all of that person's sources and they're all incorrect. How do I handle this situation and correct their entry?

Ruby Willa Stewart is not the same person as Ruby Katencamp Pierce. Ruby Willa Stewart was born Feb 22, 1899 in Lampasas, TX. Her father was Andrew Jackson Stewart and her mother Pearl Maffett both of Lampasas Tx. She had two brothers Morgan and Jack Stewart and a sister May Stewart. She had three children, Sybil, James and Alvin all born in Lampasas. She died in Blanco County in 2001 at the age of 102. She was my grandmother.

    Hi,

Sadly, yours is not an uncommon experience, and it's nice that you have taken the first steps towards an amicable solution. There is always a hope that the other patron will eventually see your message and reply, but in the meantime, you can change the information back to what you believe that it should be, adding sources and notes to help others see why what you have entered is correct.

There is a Knowledge Article which covers this all-too-common issue, which I've copied below.

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-correct-parent-child-relationships-in-family-tree

Click on the URL or copy and paste it into your browser. It's a similar solution for other relationships - husband/wife etc.

    Good luck with your work.

    Kind regards,

    Barry

Barry, Brett - Thank you very much. The links are very helpful. I'll continue to wait a while for a reply from the individual who made the change but if I don't hear anything, I'll follow the directions for removing an incorrect spouse. Thanks again.
