Folks make changes to my tree - without my permission - and they are WRONG about the details. Then I can't delete the info. Can I make a GEDCOM of the tree - delete - and input another gedcom from Ancestry.com that could not be altered by another party? They could send me info that I would be happy to check and add if its correct - but I am tired of fighting these issues - and they NEVER respond to my emails. Thanks Fabel Konicke

Thank you for your feedback. The FamilySearch Family Tree is a collaborative shared tree. Please see this article for more information: What is the purpose of FamilySearch and Family Tree?
At FamilySearch all users participate in working on one single world wide tree. There isn't separate trees for separate users.

The problem with a collaborative shared tree is that no one wants to work together. I spent a lot of time working on my immediate family tree years ago in which I had real life evidence for who I knew personally and someone else who I’ve never met or heard of before comes along and adds or changes things they know nothing about such as changing my mother from living to deceased when I live with my own mother who is still living and claiming my father was buried when he was not buried. I didn’t get asked about any of this info and they weren’t required to prove why they felt the info needed changed and now I have to go through to try and correct and “prove” why my info is correct because I knew my own family by personal experience. They overrode my work without a hitch and I can’t fix anything without proof and/or approval. No one is collaborating which makes this tree full of dead branches.

How do I request ordinances for an ancestor who was born in the last 110 years?

I am going to start out by agreeing with the other complaints. there is a person who is adding information without references, changing things about MY FAMILY THAT I GREW UP WITH ON BOTH MY MOTHERS SIDE AND MY FATHERS SIDE. I thought shared boards meant to collaborate with other people in the same family and share family stories. This person has tried to declare my uncle as living when he is still alive, 93 years old and happy as a clam at high tide. I have messaged him with correct info, I have offered to help him with things he does not have access to such as photos, letters, info about living with them and telling him about family stories and he doesn't even respond. They have no real connection and don't want one, just collecting names on paper! (at this time I don't really want to call him or accept him as a member of my family, My gandfather is probably rolling over in his grave.
right now, I can't even find my original search records that I have worked on for the last 20 years, and I can't seem to find his shared board. I think this experiment while having good intentions is a miserable failure and has made things worse for us that have been doing our family searches for a number of years.

I am writing this as I cannot seem to obtain permission to do my sister, Alpha Mae Mitchell Hawes, sealing to her husband, William Alfred Hawes. They both have all of their other temple ordinances done and this is all that is lacking. I am her ONLY living relative. I am her brother, Richard Erwin Mitchell.
What do I have to do or how?
Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your question. You will need to obtain permission from a living relative of her husband.
