Is it a burial date, a death date, or both?

I have a batch of english records that are Deaths/Burials in 1830. Under this heading, there is only a column entitled "date", which doesn't specify if it is death or if it is burial date. The indexer has recorded the date twice in his batch, once as the death date and again as the burial date. Is this correct or should the date only be entered once? If only once, should it be the death or burial date?

Please provide the batch code--in brackets next to the name of the batch. Then we can take a look at your batch and its project instructions. Thank you!
