How to merge problematic listings (same person, different numbers, etc.)
There are two listings for my Mother. Both have correct information, but in different fields. I don't want to lose the correct information contained in the listing that is obviously the wrong. I know the wrong one because it still shows that she is living though she died a few years ago, and it doesn't show up in other important places. (I think a well-meaning subscriber didn't know where to find her correct listing and entered the other without knowing how to maintain it.) I tried to go through the merging process, but it will not let me do it because of the one listing incorrectly showing that she is still living. I was told by a ward representative that I would have to talk directly with a FamilySearch administrator to take care of this. How do I go about this? How do I get ahold of someone that can help me? Thanks!

Only you can see the profile where she is marked as living: that's the profile that you created for her, and it's in your private space on FamilySearch's Family Tree.
The other profile, where she is marked as deceased, was not created because of lack of knowledge, but because your profile for her is invisible to everyone else.
I think the ward representative was confused about your problem, because you don't need an administrator to fix this. Just mark your private-space profile of your mother as deceased, and then you'll be able to merge it with the other one. In the merge, you can choose which conclusions to keep, and you can keep all of the sources, notes, and relationships.
