Turn Family Tree IDs into hyperlinks within text fields
I add many comments into Family Tree, with the goal of being helpful to other genealogists. Those comments go into the Life Sketch, the comments on vitals, Collaborate pages, and Relationship Notes.
In many cases, there are multiple people with the same name who get confused with each other, and I try to offer help to others to keep things straight. I'll point out why Person A and Person B, both with the same name, can't be the same person, and I'll list the Family Tree IDs for these people so it is clear who I'm talking about.
It would be great if there was a way that Family Tree could recognize that I've typed an ID, and turn that ID into a hyperlink that someone could click on to view the info for the other person I've referenced.
Since it may be challenging to identify IDs embedded in text, you might need some sort of syntax to indicate that a hyperlink is intended. One possibility would be to use Wiki syntax - if someone typed [[LDTT-975]] it'd create a hyperlink to the page for id LDTT-975.
Thanks for listening.

FamilySearch has a history of doing Bad Things when trying to parse text as anything other than plain text, so I would prefer if they never went anywhere near that direction ever again.
It's not that hard to select and copy a PID using your OS's built-in tools. You can then paste it into the box at the top of the Recents menu to go right to that profile.
