Do I include the name of a husband if it says Elliven ux John? (3rd entry)
I believe you would index that name, based on the indexing instructions for that project:
- Index each unique name. Some names may be duplicated. When names are exact duplicates, index only the first instance of the name listed. Skip the other exact duplicates, and then index the next unique name. When the middle initials or the given names or surnames are spelled differently, index these unique names.
- Surnames may be written only once but should be indexed along with each given name until a new surname is written.
- Index all names except those listed in the "Owner" or "Remarks" columns, or names of companies or trusts. Often, names of owners appear on the right side of the image; these names should not be indexed.
Also, based on an internet search, I think "ux" means spouse.
I hope this helps, @Janet Holdstock !0
Thank you. I assumed that John was her husband but thought he may be deceased.0
