Marking batch as duplicate
Hi! I'm indexing a batch (from the Jönköping, Sweden, Church Records) that is a duplicate of the image before. I know that the other one has been indexed because I did it myself.
I'm not getting the option to mark the image as a duplicate, but only as a not having extractable data. Could someone help get this marked as a duplicate image?
Batch number is MSGP-YSG.
Thanks!

Hi Cody. Thanks for sharing your batch number.
Because there is only one image in the batch, it cannot be marked a duplicate image. It must be indexed even if the previous image is a duplicate of this one.
- If this image is an exact duplicate of an earlier image in the same batch, select No, Duplicate Image. An image that has information about the same event but that is not a photo of the same document is not a duplicate image. If you are not sure, use the Reference Images window to compare images side by side.
Since you indexed the image before this image, instead of indexing it again, you should probably return it and let another indexer pick it up. You can also index the record again, if you choose to do that!

Thanks. I'll just release it. Even though the project is labeled as "advanced" this batch is actually pretty easy as long as you're familiar with Swedish records.
Anyway, that makes sense as to why there's no duplicate option. Thanks!
