    How does one enable my tree to be found by others - working on the same lines???? Every thing is open, but no one can read my work~

    Is it because I have not downloaded to Family Search?? Don Spence - I'm stumped!

    @DonSpence1

    All account holders can view anyone who is deceased. Those living individuals you may have entered in your account are only available to you.

    @connievl

    Check out these Help Center articles for instructions:

    How do I upload my GEDCOM file?

    How do I copy information from my GEDCOM file into Family Tree?

    You will need to compare each person in your GEDCOM one at time to those potentially already in the FamilySearch Family Tree.

    How to upload my Ancestry.com DNA results onto my Family Search tree??

    You cannot upload DNA results to FamilySearch. You can upload a Memory or include a note on a profile saying a person has been DNA tested. However note that no-one else can see the profiles of living people.

    Gern würd' ich - als längst mit Konto angemeldeter - zB solche Familien zu kleinen Stammbäumen zusammenfügen :

    "Deutschland Heiraten, 1558-1929", database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VC1P-MWQ : 13 July 2021), Matthias Bodecke, 1701.

    Es ist schade, dass dies anscheinend nur dem FS-Team vorbehalten ist.

    Dann Könnt' ich sie weiter mit Katalog-Daten verknüpfen, in diesem Fall p.e. mit https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS8L-Y9C1-W?i=1187&cat=250196

    Hi Sunny,

    I have just received an email purporting to be from FamilySearch, asking if I can help review and attach a record - United States, Social Security Numerical Identification Files (NUMIDENT), 1936-2007 - and providing a link button that says "Review Hint".

    I'm leery about clicking on any unsolicited link, although this email certainly seems legit, from the email address it's from "reply@emailfamilysearch.org" to this tagline at the end:

    "This email was sent to: <my email>

    This email was sent by: FamilySearch

    A service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    You are receiving this email because you created a FamilySearch account or used a FamilySearch tool or service.

    Are you able to confirm that this email is from FamilySearch and that the link is legitimate or if not, would you please forward this question to someone who can.

    Thanks,

    When I began my the search for my family, I used my adoptive parents family because I had no information concerning my birth family. I now do. Can I have two separate trees on Family Search?

    Annette Overstreet. Yes. When logged in to Family Search, visit the 'view person' page and go down to 'Family Members' to the 'Parents and Siblings' section, scroll to the bottom and choose 'add parent' And your parents there and then populate the rest of the information on that line there. If you have any challenges, try setting up a free personal consultation by visiting: Online Genealogy Help.

    Forty years ago - with a blank slate - I began to search for my maternal ancestry. Had it not been for the outstanding help of the local LDS library here in Toronto and the vast collection of microfilms which was able to study over a period of many years, I would never have known of my ancestry.

    Today I would like to give back.

    As a result of my research I was also able to document the names, relationships and data of the entire community of my ancestors (now in Poland).

    I would appreciate it if you could guide me to the correct area in your vast website to begin with my endeavour.

    Sincerely,

    Peter (name removed) Cullman
