Gedcom glitching

Hi, apologize if this is an old question-

I uploaded the latest of my gedcoms to check on missing people, and it turned up over 400 *adds*. Now without even getting past the first page, i know for sure there's a lot of those that ARE in the tree already.

Not sure if tech is aware that the matching process had gone a bit wonky.

So I'm off to wade thru a bunch of names+---

Think I'll try split screen, save my sanity

I wouldn't call it a glitch or "gone wonky", because I've never known it to behave any differently. To put it plainly, the compare-and-add process on FamilySearch is badly flawed. Despite the recurring and continuing threads on the various iterations of FS's forums over the years, nothing has been done to fix it, so long-time users of Family Tree and of the forums are stuck begging other users not to use the process, or if they do, to not believe a word it says without independently verifying it (for which a split screen or dual monitors or similar setup is highly useful).
