United States Census, 1940 Problems

The 1940 US census sources are not populating the header correctly when you attach it to a person in Family Search. This is the only US census where it's not working.

For an example, please see the sources page for Everett Smith 1 March 1921 – 14 May 1990 • G6PL-YPQ (and his family that's also attached to the same census)

Instead of looking like:

1940 Evert Smith in household of J E Smith, "United States Census, 1940"

It's being labeled as:

1940 <Unknown>, "United States Census, 1940"

It's been going on for at least a week. Can you let someone know?

@Unabletodisplay - This is a known problem that the engineers are looking at. Unfortunately, we have not way to indicate when the problem will be resolved.

    Thanks for the heads up.

BTW, it seems that it wiped out the source headers for every 1940 US census...not just new entries.

I think I can go in and edit them and fix each one, but that is extra work. I hope they find a solution.

    Nope.

A I can't see the source enough to remember how I should spell the name of the person.

B When I do type something in and save it, unknown disapears, but what I typed, doesn't appear.
