Need help Identifying Soldiers in this Photo - how to share?
My grandmother had this photo in our grandfathers photo album but we can't identify anyone in our family in this photo (including my grandfather). The photo has last names written on the back and the front photo has a flag that identifies the group of soldiers as RTC 85 A. We are assuming it is around WW II. If anyone has any idea on how to share this or help identify these amazing men please let me know! This is an amazing piece of history that should be given back to their families!
Thanks,
I have attached the picture - both front and back!

What an interesting find! The uniforms look later than WWI so I would agree that this was taken around WWII.
Was your family near Camp Shelby, Mississippi around 1942? Or Michigan before WWII started? I ask because a google search of "RTC 85 A in world war 2 military" brought up a wikipedia article about the 85th Infantry Division, which was associated with both of those locations. As far as I can tell from further googling RTC may possibly stand for Recruit Training Command or Course.
Does anyone have a Fold3 subscription? We could search individual names there.

A local veterans group, (VFW or American Legion) may have a way to help. There are other possible sources listed in the URL below.

Good luck.
