When checking the index entries for the 1950 census, sometimes the edit box obscures the entry to be checked and cannot be moved. Can you make it moveable?

@Marilyn Manzella Unfortunately, the edit box isn't currently moveable. This function has been requested by several people. What you can do though is resize the screen and the edit box will move. You can do this on the web by using your scroll wheel on your mouse or clicking the + or - in the top right corner. On mobile use you fingers to zoom in or out on the screen. Thanks for joining us in the 1950 census!

How do we report that a name was not indexed from a census?

I have seen numerous pages of the US census (1900-1930) Chicago where numerous individuals in the record image have not been indexed. Please ask the record managers to develop a capability which allows us to insert these omissions.
Here is one such example in a Polish neighborhood of Chicago: 1920 US census, IL, Cook Co., Chicago Ward 29, ED 1750, page 15 (of 52): Only 2 names have been indexed (Vaclaw Sikorski, Vincent Bogieski) ... leaving 48 other names omitted.

How do we edit all family members with the same surname in a census record with the new format? On the previous version, which some records still use, you were able to check mark the family members who used the same surname; the way it is now, you have to edit each person separately. Go in and out; in and out of the census image.

I have the same question as Steele jean. The process for editing surnames for an entire family in a census record has become very cumbersome. Can only do one person at a time - can't apply to rest of the family. If the process has changed, could a blogpost tutorialbe provided please.

Thank you for detailing the procedure for offering corrections to names in the database. I have already made two correction suggestions explaining why the current entries wee incorrect.
