How Do I Upload Files to the Sources Page of an Ancestor?
I have wills, legal docs, obituaries, and so on that I have downloaded that are too long or are not candidates for one reason or another for transcription.
However, I can't find a way to upload these files to the "Sources" section of an ancestor's "Person" page.
Only a URL to a Family Search page is possible, and these documents will probably not be found on the Family Search site. For example, they are obits that I paid for, wills that I downloaded from other free genealogy sites, or documents that I paid a researcher to find.
I want to share these with other researchers who can use them for further research.
I know files can be uploaded to an ancestor's "Memories" page, but these files are not memories.
How do I do this? Am I missing something?

FYI
It's 'Brett'.
Firstly ...
In fact, you CAN (and, SHOULD), "Add" them, to the "Memories", of the relevant Ancestor(s).
Secondly ...
Once, they are added as "Memories", to the relevant Ancestor(s) ...
You can them, "Attach" those "Memories", to the "Sources" 'Tab', of the relevant Ancestor(s) ...
Pictorially ...
I hope, that this may help/assist, somewhat.

Julia Szent-Györgyi, thx for the tip. Have been using Brett's method for several years, but like this direct route.
.. ..._1, an idea.
we are at end of research and cleaning out rarer docs images etc. vs. getting lost. With some doc's, and especially bios or news clips, we will also use the comments section (at bottom of uploaded item ) once the jpeg or pdf is in the memories section to highlight "Alternate" facts, contradictions and/or additional professional genealogist comments or translation notes. With a broad audience and user experience levels, we find it helpful to reduce propagation of errors and "expand the conversation". As an aside, if the propagated error is widespread, we also use the notes and life sketch to share "Alternate" or believed to be "Correct" info.
Just cleaned up a profile that was built from an Ancestry.com obituary which contained some "thoughtful reminisces" that were wrong, but still got entered "as is" and got clicked on ..over and over and over, sigh.
....with your treasure trove of hard to find docs and images, you found the right place IMO...this is the strength of a open edit collaborative single tree concept which has easy to use (relatively) reason and comment fields to help the next generation find and make use of the relevant "life breadcrumbs" left on our ancestors.
enjoy the journey!

And, here is a relevant "Knowledge Article", in 'FamilySearch':
How do I use memories as sources in Family Tree?

You can skip straight to creating a source citation for a document:
Go to a relevant profile's Sources tab, click "+ Add Source", and choose Add New Source. If the document is on your computer, choose Add a Memory and click Upload Memory, find the file and click Open. If the document is on a webpage somewhere, choose Web Page URL and paste the address into the URL field. Then fill in the rest of the fields as you see fit. (A title is required; everything else is optional.)
If you make sure to check the "Add Source to My Source Box" checkbox (just above the Save button), then you can add the same citation to everyone mentioned in the document.

I love a shortcut. Thank you.
But how is it possible to add it to everyone mentioned in the document? How does FS know? 🤔
