For reviewing the 1950 U.S. Census, allow the computer-generated helps field to move up and down and side to side so that the reviewer can see completely letters below the line in the census that are obscured by the box where the suggested names are found. For example, the letter J looked to the computer like the letter C. And the letter f the computer thought was an l.

    what if a signature is undecipherable?

    when a date is written 4/15 do we copy that or say April 15?
