    At the bottom right of the details page, there is Tools.

    If you are the only person who edited the person (and some other rules), then you can simply delete the person and it will not have unavailable there.

    Otherwise, you can just mere the duplicate by ID; that is also in Tools.

    @Jordi Kloosterboer

    Jordi

    It's 'Brett'.

    Just in passing ...

    As an aside ...

    'Heads Up' ...

    Please be, aware; and, advised ...

    There was, a Fault/Flaw, with the "System", up until recently; where, even though NO Other Users/Patrons (including: that of 'FamilySearch'), has NOT made, ANY "Changes", to an individual/person [ ie. in the "ChangeLog" ], that "Delete Person Unavailable", STILL appeared; because, of some "Behind the Scenes" work by 'FamilySearch', when it should NOT have, TRIPPED the mechanism, to indicate that OTHER Users/Patrons HAD contributed.

    'FamilySearch', ONLY realised, the error of their ways; when, I raised the matter, with regard to an individual/person, who NO Other Users/Patrons (including: that of 'FamilySearch'), had NOT made, ANY "Changes"; YET, the "Delete Person Unavailable" appeared.

    'FamilySearch', addressed/fixed, the problem/issue, of the "Behind the Scenes" work, by 'FamilySearch', when it should NOT have, TRIPPING the mechanism, to indicate that OTHER Users/Patrons HAD contributed.

    [ All good there now ... ]

    But ...

    That Said ...

    'FamilySearch', DID NOT; and, HAS NOT, run a "Reset", for ALL the PREVIOUSLY affected individuals/persons.

    As, such, 'FamilySearch', has to "Reset", each individual/person, on an individual basis.

    The latter, is what they had to be done, in my case; BEFORE, that "Delete Person Unavailable", finally DISAPPEARED; and, was replace, by "Delete Person".

    Just letting you know; so that, you are aware.

    Brett

    Thank you so much for your replies. I subscribe to Ancestry.com and I find that site so easy to use and this site so complicated. I now want to delete my tree and start again as no matter what I do it is still wrong. I have even tried merging them but still have duplicates.

    Can you tell me how to just delete my tree and i would like to start again as I do have a better understanding of it now (until it all duplicates etc)

    Thank you in advance

    @chrissie109

    Perhaps this will help to clarify the situation. FamilySearch Family Tree is like a Vulcan mindmeld. Your tree to my tree. My tree to your tree. The tree here is not yours alone; it is everyone else's too.

    Live long and prosper.

    Thank you for your comment. All I can say is that I hope that what i have done on my tree doesn't confuse anyone because of my mistakes that i cannot alter!

    Let me see if I understand. You were trying to create profiles of a couple, John McKinnon and Margaret H. Bisset, both born in 1877. Correct so far?

    Yes correct but they both show as patents of married couple Francis Holden and Isabella B Mckinnon whereas it should just be the parents of Isabella

    Right. There appears to be some conflation in the profiles you were working with. You didn't create any duplicate profiles.

    How is it now?

    Isabella B Mckinnon's husband Francis Holden was attached to her parents as their son. I simply detached him from them.

    On sites where you can work on your tree in isolation the mess is still there, just swept under the rug. So the ease is an illusion.
