Cremation indexing
In some entries for deaths in Lancashire records, the only date available is the date of cremation.
I enter it as burial date. Would it be reasonable for FamilySearch to label the burial fields burial/cremation instead of just burial?

There is a "Cremation" choice under Other Information - Events, but of course this will not be used as a death proxy event, the way Burial can be, even though cremation -- if it occurs -- is definitionally closer to the death than a subsequent burial of the ashes. (My dad died and was cremated in September, in Pennsylvania, and buried the following April, in Hungary.) So really what would be best would be for the "death proxy" fields to be labeled as such, instead of choosing one possible proxy and relegating the rest to Other.
As a workaround, I suggest continuing to enter cremations as a burials. You can write "cremation" in the reason box to make it clear.
