Who is "Nauvoo Land and Records?"
I am seeing a number of new Memories PDF documents posted by user "Nauvoo Land and Records" for my ancestors. They are large documents that have a lot of data, which is appreciated, but I want to understand that they have been approved to do this, since the documents contain a lot of temple ordinance data. I messaged them several weeks ago, but no response. I assume they are the same office in Nauvoo we visited in 1997 and obtained a large similar volume of data for an ancestor. Thanks for your help!

Thank you for your question about the Nauvoo Land and Record. They are located in Illinois. You can learn more using the URL below (which we search for):

@ Sanra This is very similar to my posting.

I responded directly to them as well hoping to get the issue resolved. Then thought to see if someone could help me identify who Nauvoo Land and Record is.
Can something be done to help educate "Nauvoo Land and Records" as to the incorrect inclusion of this information?
Do we need to contact them directly via phone as it doesn't seem they are responding back to @Steve Wassom ?

They finally responded with, "Hello. We have deleted the document. We will repost when the document is updated." I then responded, "Thank you, but you have also posted a huge document on my other third great grandfather Thomas Bullock that also includes Temple records. Are you an individual or a business?"
Please do not misunderstand; I think the wealth of information on these people is wonderful, with all of the land records, relationships, etc. I am just uncomfortable with the temple information being public, but maybe I am being over-sensitive.

Here is another article
The Church News seems to be connected with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, so the inference is that "Nauvoo Land and Record" is part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Edit: This link "Picturing history: Nauvoo Land and Records Office"
https://www.deseret.com/2016/5/4/20587839/picturing-history-nauvoo-land-and-records-office specifically says ..."the Land and Records Office. This facility, operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints..."

They promptly responded that they are indeed the office in Nauvoo staffed by missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and are working with FamilySearch to ensure that the information they are posting is acceptable. They will make any adjustments necessary to the posted information. I thanked them and said I will support whatever policy decisions are made by FamilySearch.

@Steve Wassom I received a very similar response. I was grateful to know they are looking into this situation. And I will be happy to support whatever policy decisions are made by FamilySearch as well. Hopefully whatever the policy is, it will be added to the Knowledge Article so others with the same concern will understand the reasoning.
