Last Names in Name Review for census
Right now, a listing might read Smith, John. The next line might show either blank or a dash to show same last name, then first name Susan.
When doing Name Review, after doing Smith, John the next entry might just go right to Susan's name, or it might go to the surname and ask if --- is correct as the last name.
Do I change it to Smith? Do I mark it Not A Name? Do I just agree that her last name is --?
Love the reviewing, but I'm wondering what this will end up doing to the index? People are already saying that they can only find the head of the family and the members aren't coming up in the index, so this seems important.

What should I do with “--” in the Surname field?
- In Name Review, leave it as is and mark as a Match. Think of it as shorthand for the actual surname.
- In Family Review, replace it with the surname itself.
