In our FHC we have a mystery of a missing film, #2062045 (DGS #8121156), which a patron has been wanting to view. I guess I'm wondering if there's any estimate on when the images from this particular film may be made available either online or at a Family History Center. I'd love to be able to tell this patron something.

(I read the answers to @Jean-Francois KAISIN's question on Digitization from November of last year and found them informative.)

Thanks in advance.

I am not connected with FamilySearch

The catalog record for film 2062045 is https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/344108 and the description of part of the contents is "Indeks urodzeń 1893-1964 ". Because of privacy issues this means this section of the film will be unavailable online, as generally information about births is only available online after one hundred years. Because FamilySearch currently does not split up digitised microfilms, in practice this means the entire microfilm will not be available online.

This situation will only change when FamilySearch decides to devote resources to splitting up digitised microfilms, which perhaps is currently low on the list of priorities.
