Has anyone found log records of migrants in government and private migrant camps in the 1930's?

During the 1930's there were many migrant camps set up by farmers and the government in California. People were checked in and out of the camps. What happened to the records? These are important records to follow the "Dust Bowl" migration of a million displaced Americans from the drought stricken areas of the west.
