New York Index to Land Records, Grantees - M3L7-H9K

I'm getting conflicting advice on how to index something like this with an alphabet after the book number: Do I index 162 A (162A??) or just 162?

Here's another one: Do I index "Will" with the number (Will 21) or just 21?

I don't see anything in project instructions or the how-to-index examples on how to handle the above.
