New search feature doesn't work nearly as well as the old one!
I am usually thrilled with the new features that you roll out, but at least for me, the new search feature (https://www.familysearch.org/search/tree/name) is lacking at best. Place names don't yield a dropdown to choose from, and the place name that is entered seems to be ignored in the search results. The "To" year no longer auto-populates with the value entered for the "From" year. I was trying to find Philipp Lauter born in Seltz, Bas-Rhin, France around 1804. I knew he was in the system, and under the old search, a search of Philip Lauter, born in Seltz (having to type nothing more than this) in 1804 would have come back with him as the top hit, but under this new page I had to sift through two pages of mostly non-relevant results to find him (births many decades off of this date and places all over the map to include United States). I don't mean to be rude, but this is excruciating and frustrating when the old one worked perfectly well.
Can you please either bring back the old search feature, or else give this new one the same search capabilities the old one had? Thank you!
