Are you also adding indexed records with the name of the priest who signs each microfilmed record?

I recently noticed hundreds of new indexed records with the name of the priest whose signature is at the end of each event written on the microfilmed books.

That means you are using some kind of character recognition software for indexing new records.

Searching for my ancestors is a waste of time finding out that the name I am searching for is the priest who signed the event in the microfilmed book.

I think you should filter those fields when recognizing characters using some sort of software.
