You might want to check the project instructions and how-to-index examples. I'm working on the NY land grants and each grantee name must be indexed separately.

Hi Sherman. @samshicat is correct. But please carefully read the project instructions for exceptions - e.g., on some projects a company grantor and company grantee pair might not get indexed at all.
But, generally, if, say, there are 3 grantors and 1 grantee involved in a transaction, then each grantor-grantee pair gets their own entry utilizing the same transaction details (date, book, page) making a total of 3 x 1 = 3 entries. Sometimes you might have multiple grantors and multiple grantees, say 3 and 2, respectively. In a case like that you could end up with 3 x 2 = 6 entries - one for each grantor-grantee pair - each using the same transaction data.
