Relationship between biological parent, child and unrelated spouse

My biological mother married after I was adopted. Her husband and I are not related. I am not his step, foster, adopted, or biological child. I would like to show on my tree that I am only related to my mother but also that she has a husband. As it stands now, I have to choose between showing the relationship to my mother and removing her husband or leaving her husband on the tree which will show that I am related to him. If there is a way that I can do both, please let me know.

I would like to thank Elder Rees for all of his help. It was very much appreciated.

Valerie

It is simple. On your mother's profile she has a spouse (and their children) and she has you without a father attached.

From your profile of yourself, you can simply detach your mother's husband. That leaves them a couple but him not your father.
