Duplicate for me (LF7H-9DD & G6FN-MV5); delete LF7H-9DD NOT merge

Back in 2014 I created my record LF7H-9DD but only entered basic info and stopped. Now I returned to the site and without thinking created a new record G6FN-MV5 and added family info, creating people and correcting records throughout. Then I found the old record for me. I am afraid of merging cuz it wants to keep the earlier record with barely anything there and merge the new detailed record into it. I would prefer keeping the more recent entry and simply deleting the original but it says multiple contributors. Well, I can find NO other contributors but myself and yet still cannot delete. Can you help me remove the earlier version LF7H-9DD?
