England & Wales National Index of Wills & Administrations
This point was raised in 2020 and is still not fixed.
The details provided in the calendars show the testator, the person who died, and the executors for wills and administrators for letters of administration. It does not show the names of the beneficiaries.
The names of the beneficiaries can only be found by purchasing a copy of the will.
It is totally wrong of FamilySearch to list these people as beneficiaries. Yes, in some cases, they will be. But in a significant amount of entries, they will be people dealing with the probate such as solicitors, bank managers etc and not ultimately be beneficiaries.

Would a moderator / employee reading this "Idea" please confirm this issue will be escalated to the appropriate FamilySearch department?
As you will see from the post for which a link is provided, this collection constitutes an awful piece of indexing, but the main issue here still remains the need to (at the very least) remove that incorrect field title "Beneficiary's Name". Errors like this must be addressed, otherwise researchers will begin to have serious reservations about FamilySearch's ability to record the simple facts.
