I guess am missing something. When I hit edit on name reviewing how do you stop the page from going right to left so you can correct the name?

Could you explain a bit more? Is this on the new Get Involved or regular reviewing? I am not sure I understand what you mean by the page moving? Do you mean the box you edit or the actual page?

The actual page moves left to right. Yes New Get involved on correcting names. Both box and actual page.

Looks like there may be a page error because it is down for me right now.

Yes it does say on page bottom right transcription error. But it has been this way for some time. I go to correct and I can't delete, backspace, nothing.

Mine is working now. It seems you might need to do some computer 'housekeeping'.

    1. Go to familysearch.org/cookies and ask it to reset your FamilySearch cookies.
    2. Make sure your browser is up to date.
    3. Close your browser then reopen.
    4. Turn off your computer for a few minutes then turn back on.
    5. If none of those work then change your browser to another browser for a few days. Sometimes there is a temporary incompatibility between the browser and a computer. It is generally fixed within a few days so you can go back to your favorite browser then.
    6. If these do not work let us know!

Sorry for the trouble. Too involved for me. I am not that computer experienced.

You are no trouble at all! Is there someone in your family or home who can help you?

No there isn't. I am 70 years young and by myself. Right now I am too frustrated to continue.

ok how about if we try a simple thing. Just shut down your computer and wait a few minutes then try again. Ok?

If that does not work click on this link and say yes when it asks if you want to reset your cookies for FamilySearch.

No nothing has changed. I did find cookies and cleared them. Also still says transcription error at bottom of page.

Same thing. I did clear cookies and went back in to Names and Montana and same thing happened. It will not stop going left/right/right/left.

Why does it say transcription error at bottom right hand of page?

Transcription error is a button not a sign that there is an error. Click on it and it will pull up a menu to report the type of transcription error.

I tried another browser and same thing happened. So I guess I will stick as a reviewer in indexing. Thank you for your time and expertise.
