Submitting Names to Family Groups Made Possible through "Help Others"
I like the new "Family Group" option to share ordinances. We would like for people in the ward to be able to share ordinances with e.g. the youth, so I created a "Family Group" for the ward.
There are some elderly sisters, who do not have their own FamilySearch account, whom we help reserve names through "Help Others".
It would be so nice, if these ordinances could be shared with the ward family group, since these elderly sisters are unable to perform baptisms or male ordinances.
As far as I see it, this is not possible at the moment?
So we still have to help these sisters print out the cards, and ask them to hand the cards to someone in the ward, who can do the ordinances, if they do not want to wait for the ordinances to be submitted to the temple, a process, that often takes much longer?
My experience is, that male endowments submitted to the temple sometimes take several years to be performed. The older you are, the less time you have, if you want to participate in the sealings. In that case, it would be nice with some easier and faster way to get help, and this could be done through our ward group, if it were possible.

FYI
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]
Just in passing ...
I am somewhat confused ...
Firstly ...
IF, the elderly Sisters, in your Ward, DO NOT, have their own 'FamilySearch' Accounts; THEN, ...
Question: HOW, can one "Sign Into", 'FamilySearch'; and, act as their "Helper", through "Help Others"?
To help another Person, that Person MUST be a "Registered" User/Patron of 'FamilySearch.
Please advise/clarify.
Secondly ...
Here are some "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch':
How do I use the Help Others link in Family Tree?
Where, it states, among other things:
Quote:
------------------
You can act as helper in these areas on FamilySearch.
- Temple
------------------
And ...
What does a Helper do?
https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/what-does-a-helper-do
Where, it states, among other things:
Quote:
------------------
What you can do
• Manage family names for the person, including the following:
- Share family names.
------------------
As such ...
One would EXPECT ...
That ('Technically') a "Helper", SHOULD, be able to "Share", the "Temple" Work, with a "Family Group" ...
Finally ...
Two (x2) things ...
One ...
Questions: Are the elderly Sisters, in your Ward, members of the ( Ward ) "Family Group"?
ie. Have they Requested to be; and, have they been Approved as being, members of the ( Ward ) "Family Group"
IF, a member of one's Ward/Branch, IS a "Registered" User/Patron of 'FamilySearch'; BUT, has NEITHER, "Requested" to be; NOR, been "Approved"; as, being, a member of the ( Ward ) "Family Group"; THEN, they CANNOT, "Share", the "Temple" Work, with the ( Ward ) "Family Group".
Two ...
Whereas ...
IF, the elderly Sisters, in your Ward, DO, have their own 'FamilySearch' Accounts (ie. are "Registered" Users/Patrons); and, they ARE members of the ( Ward ) "Family Group", that has been created; and, one is "Acting"; as, their "Helper"; THEN, are you saying (ie. indicating/advising), that a "Helper" CANNOT, "Share", the "Temple" Work, with a "Family Group"; as, a "Helper"?
Please advise/clarify.
.
IF, the latter is the case; THEN, there MAY be a Problem/Issue with "Family Groups".
.
As, looking through, the VARIOUS "Knowledge Articles", in 'FamilySearch', regarding "Family Groups" ...
There is NO indication; as, to whether or not, a "Helper" (ie. acting on behalf, of another User/Patron), can or cannot, "Share", the "Temple" Work, with a "Family Group".
Perhaps, such was NOT considered; and, thus has NOT "Programmed" (ie. "Coded"), into "System".
Or, perhaps, such was considered; and, the decision made, NOT to allow such.
Whichever is the case, the matter, of a "Helper" (ie. acting on behalf, of another User/Patron); being, able; or, not able, to "Share", the "Temple" Work, with a "Family Group", NEEDS to be clarified and advised.
Hence, my confusion.
Just my thoughts.
