South Africa Cemetery Register ???

While indexing the cemetery registers I keep coming across instances where the abbreviation Bt, bt, B/T appears in the box with the persons given name or names. Since there isn't a date of birth on these I'm wondering if this is used to signify the person was an infant or baby under 1 year of age. I don't know where to go find this information to confirm it isn't part of the persons name and shouldn't be included as such. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The abbreviation is showing up in the South Africa Johannesburg Cemetery Registers for 2017-2021
