Source Linker new problem, not switching Spouse, please escalate
New today, I am unable to attach a former spouse on a marriage record. The linker is not switching to "none of the above".

Did you manage to sort it?

Try to attach the prior spouse. To do that you would click the left arrow under the Detach link. That pops up a box where you can switch from Roy P Crandall to "none of the above" (none). Normally selecting none clears the left side of the Spouse field so you can drag and drop in the additional spouse. Today, selecting none has no effect.
I left the task unfinished for now so the bug can be replicated by others.
Of course there are workarounds. One is to create the profile for the prior spouse then attach the record to the spouse directly. I don't need help with that.
My purpose in posting this is to report that the Source Linker is not working normally.

Okay, following your instructions, I get to
I see that your workaround should resolve the problem.
I wonder whether the problem is caused by the fact that the previous husband is given the name of Richards presumably based on Mary's name at the time of marriage. Given that her father was also Richards, this suggests either that Mary originally married someone of the same surname (possible but unlikely) or Mary reverted to her maiden name (more likely I would have thought). Given the uncertainty, I would be reluctant to add the previous spouse given the lack of information more than his existence including uncertainty over his name.

The record index and the original image both show that the bride was married before, and both her maiden and married surname was Richards. In any event, the issue here is that the Source Linker is not working normally. Here is another screenshot, showing what happens when I try to select (none of the above). This is not what normally happens.
To clarify, when switching to none of the above the normal behavior would be: Roy P Crandall on the left drops down to the Other on Record box, leaving the Spouse position empty so /Richards can be put there.
That is still not happening. Please escalate this to the engineering team.

In this case I would just attach Richards to Mary Dell Richards using the person page. Then I would refresh the source linker page and connect Richards from the record to the richards that is attached to mary Richards. What you are asking for is an enhancement.
This is a gif f basically what I would do.
The none of the above option is to attach Roy P Crandall as a new spouse to mary dell richards.

Looking at the actual image of the record /Richards is not correct.
The image says this is the bride's second marriage. So, I can see which there is a Spouse's Previous Husband's Name slot. However, Richards is not it. The Bride's maiden name is Miss Mary Richards. She is not named anything else in the image. So /Richards is just a placeholder to say that there was a former spouse.
So instead of creating the person as Richards, I would name him unknown and attach him to /Richards on the record and put a marriage date of before the current marriage date and then do more research to find that marriage record.

What you are asking for is an enhancement.
The Source Linker used to work that way. Now it doesn't. That's why I made this a bug report in Family Tree not a Suggested Idea.
