I'm indexing Italian birth records from 1874-1890

Italia (Antenati Italiani), Palermo—Stato Civile, 1874–1890 [Parte B][M3SY-6GN]

and the first 2 images of the batch, listed as birth records contain a hand written record of a female baby found and given in adoption to a 60 year old couple.

How do I annotate the parents aren't her birth parents, this is not a birth etc. the other two doc of the batch are birth/baptism record that can be indexed.

The document number is 343; year 1829 9th of September.

Index the adoptive parents in the parents' fields. Our index will bring researchers to the original image where they will see all the details of the record.

Foundlings were typically recorded on the form for births. I would index all applicable information about the child and also the names of the adoptive parents.

So you don't need to indicate on the entry form that these are her adoptive parents. When the researcher finds this document they will see its an adoption. Hopefully these images are available and the researcher gets to see what we see while indexing and will figure it out from there :).

I actually wrote (adoptive parents) by the parents name because the fields on the original doc aren’t filled in. The document is hand written in Italian and isn’t very legible, so it might not be obvious to the researcher. I sent the batch and hope whoever reviews it will fix it.

I guess I’m still learning and just did my best
