Have had a query from a wonderful Reviewer in our stake and I don't know the answer. The year is 1857 and the copy is faded, unclear and poor. Pretty much all of the page is unreadable, but there are three entries which are clear enough to to Index. We wonder how to handle this. The Indexer has said No Extractable Data. Could someone please advise.

Thank you.

    @Marilyn Lockyer

    Thank you for your question.

    Usually mark unreadable, I dare say they have tried inverting the page as well as adjusting the image in tools.

    More advice will be forthcoming for you.

    Because there are names that can be indexed, I believe this needs to be indexed. But that is my opinion and may not be what FS wants us to do. There are no directions (for this particular project) that say what to do if a document is unreadable. I would return the batch. It has been said if a batch is returned by multiple people, it is flagged for viewing. Maybe someone will see it who can do something about it.

    When in doubt.... I just return.
