Corrections to place in record - Galicia
It is not clear to me how to suggest Family Search make a correction to a record. For example, my grandfather, Michael Yaremus' birthplace in the NY City Marriage Records 1829-1940 is mistakenly listed as Galicia, Spain when it should be just Galicia (Galicia being a territory in the Austro-Hungarian Empire that no longer exists). The actual record is correct - it appears Spain was added by Family Search. How can I suggest this be changed?
I wonder how many other records were amended this way.
Thank you for your attention.

Thank you for reporting this "Inaccurate Place in a Search Result". I am able to replicate the problem as reported. This is being forwarded to another department for further review and action. Thank you.

Because the images of NY City Marriage Records 1829-1937 are only available to view at an FHC or FHL, there is no facility to edit the place of birth. When the images are not online, it is generally impossible to know if the error exists in the original record or in the index.
Note that the title of the database is incorrect, as the last record is 1937. I've been working to get that fixed for years.

Today I found more errors regarding Galicia Spain.
These need to be corrected to just Galicia.

The life sketch box on the person page won't open completely, or is stuck, in order for me to edit or add information to the sketch, of which I created. It started happening recently and I would like to know why. Thank you.

FYI - you can now see that marriage record, for Michael Yaremus and Mary Palega, in color on the NYCRecords website. https://a860-historicalvitalrecords.nyc.gov/view/4001485
