Verifying Names

I just finished submitting and verifying names on some records. I love reading and trying to decipher old handwriting. Lots of fun!

However, the highlighted box on the documents seemed to be more of a hindrance than a help. Is there a way to make the box larger? I saw a link at the top of the document that said it would enlarge the box, but it was no use to me. It only seemed to make the box become divided into even smaller & more confusing boxes which would hide the writing inside.

One way that helps me, is to look through the handwriting throughout the document. They are usually pretty consistent with how they flourish their E's, C's L's, etc......

Another issue: It was hard to determine what was needed in order to edit. For example, in other documents I've verified, they didn't want a period after an initial, or the whole name written out if it were abbreviated (ie James for Jas -- or George for Geo) Before was always told to submit the way it was originally written.

No instructions were given as to how you were to verify other than to approve or edit.

Thanks!

@PLynnJ - Would you be able to post a screenshot of the highlighted box, please?
