Wrong Township Name Canada, Ontario—Tax Assessment Records, 1834–1899 [Part D] [M36Y-M5Q]

Hi - I am indexing the above-mentioned records and am troubled that the name of the Township is wrong...it is listed in all the records as "Ekfrice," but it is actually "Ekfrid."

I have made name changes on all the records I indexed, but what about the rest of the batches for that Township?

Good work. We can only hope that the indexers and reviewers will follow the instructions and correct the place names. But, even if they don't, the search engines use programs like soundex to produce results based on phonetics and sounds, so Ekfrice and Ekfrid would be easily found.
