I'm trying to locate the record in the above Taylor County Probate index for Henry & Mary Fleischman. When I'm looking at the actual Probate records is there anything from the index to help me search where it might be located without having to search page by page? There are 3 different files that hold the probate records. Thank you.

The index card references "termination life estate." If one or more of the children had a life interest in the estate, that could have been many years later.

My 3rd GGF died in 1863, leaving a large estate. One daughter was not yet married and over 40 - old for the time. Her father left her a life interest in the estate, to be sure she was provided for. Eliza lived until 1902. All but 2 of her 12 siblings predeceased her. The estate was finally fully probated - after a lawsuit brought by some great grandchildren - in 1904.

Do you know when Henry and/or Mary Fleischman died? Is it this couple? https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/GCFB-TLQ

The index card shows Case #1850.

Looking at the Wisconsin Probate Records on Ancestry, there are sequential Probate Case File numbers ending at 1532 in 1919. Case #1850 MAY be too recent to be found online.

Yes, Henry died 13 Apr 1896 in Medford, Taylor, Wisconsin, USA. There is another index card that shows he had a living estate. His wife Mary (Maria) died 22 MAY 1904 in Little Black, Taylor, Wisconsin, USA. I I was confused by the numbering system, because she died in 1904 and you would expect they would have gone through probate by then.

At the time of her death, they had 4 living children. I'm not aware of any issues that would have caused them to wait 20+ years in go through probate. The siblings were close and they kept in touch throughout the years.
