moving microfilm from one center to another
Hello,
My name is Edith and I noticed that it is possible to move microfilm from one center to another. My films are located at the Fredericksburg VA FHC on 20 Boscobel Rd. I can't remember the exact number of films that are there but there should be at least ten. I moved from Fredericksburg and am now living in Indiana. Our center just recently opened again after a long period of time. The center's address is 10518 CR 600N, Indianapolis IN 46112.
The films have been in Fredericksburg for a while since I didn't realize that you could move them. I was a consultant there for several years. I would love to be able to look at them again since they are still not available online and there is no other way to get the information I might need.
My husband Mike also has some films there. Does he need to request to move his separately?
Thank you so much for your help.
Edith

I am not connected with FamilySearch and the following is my personal option only, as you have not received any response from Family Search
You say that you have noticed that it is possible to move microfilm from one center to another. As every thing I have seen recently seems to be in respect of getting rid of microfilms, perhaps your best line of action is for either you, or your current Family History Center, to directly contact your old Center and see if this can be arranged assuming the microfilms are still held there. If the microfilms are still available, perhaps your old Center would be quite happy to get rid of them, as it seems to be increasingly difficult to maintain functioning microfilm readers.
